i’ve had many accidents in my life. i’ve injured many areas of my body and then got diagnosed with both chronic pain disorder as well as “borderline” fibromyalgia. one of the medications i have taken for so long is amitriptilyne (elevil), one 25 mg./night.

in the past 6 to 9 months, i have been experiencing, daily, a pain all over my body (but not in my torso itself) whereby it feels like the fascia that holds the musles and tendons on the bones aches. what is this condition? what is done to treat it? my doctor already doubled the dose of elevil that i take each night. it only helps a little bit. i do NOT have arthritis and do not need a rheumatologist. what else could this be?

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about a year ago. I have 16 of the 18 tender points, and all the **** that comes with fibromyalgia. I have 2 spots that have always hurt me the most, and theyre not on any of the typical tenderspots. Does anyone else have severe tenderspots thats not typical for fibromyalgia? If not, could it be that the diagnosis of my fibromyalgia is wrong???

Would like to chat with someone who has fibromyalgia. Do they have a heightened sense of smell??Everything smells different or horrible.Is this part of the illness??

I am a twenty-one year old, female, diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and REM sleep disorder. My Dr. is now questioning the possibility of Myofascial Pain Syndrome… In the past I have tried physical therapy, acupuncture and multiple prescribed medications both for the pain and the sleep problems… none have been quite sufficient or cost effective, in the long run… any suggestions?

I have hyperreflexia, and tremors in my fingers does anyone one else have this also? And also can other symptoms show up later with fibromyalgia?

Has anyone else with fibromyalgia experienced being in a geographical location that has frequent barometric pressure changes, and experience the symptoms of fibromyalgia are more frequent and intense in that particular geographical location due to those barometric changes?

as a result of this new illness,that has been confrimed,i have now been put on morphine. 40 mg a day. this illness is stopping me from walking properly,and leaves me in pain from head to toe. i was told it cannot be cured,so am at my wits end. i am also due to have a hysterectomy in february. feel like i am literally falling apart. i am only 34 and have so many illness’s that i am finding it hard to cope. i have a 2 year old and a 9 year old autistic daughter to look after. i try and hide my pain from them as much as i can,but feel like i am never going to be right and well,as all my illness’s are going to be with me for the rest of my life. does anyone else have this fibromyalgia? what course of treatment is helping you the most? its taken 2 years to get my diagnosis. can anyone give me some kind genuine advice to help me get through this tough time. i am asking for kind genuine advice please,am going through enough at the moment. thanks to all who take the time to help me xxxx

I’m 16.
I’m failing out of highschool because of this. I want to stay in school.
